So i tried slapchop for the first time! it's looks frustratingly good for what it is but i like the effect. arturo josei bohorquez. i think it goes very well on a lot of warhammy things because it creates this illusion of both having transitions and still being something weathered.
First Attempt At Slapchop R Orks In this experimental painting session, i dive into the slapchop technique for the first time. watch as i explore this unconventional approach to bring a new texture and style to my miniature. Has anyone experimented with different colours of primers for the slap chop? i’m thinking dark green primer, lighter green for 1st dry brush and 2nd dry brush white with a faint green. wondering how the skin would come out. So i started slapchop a few weeks back but was not happy with the results on the skin. the old ‘evy metal produced more vibrant and complex skin tones (obviously) and i wanted to get as close to that as possible. I find slapchop makes it so much easier to begin my painting work. i've already done the first three steps on a new model, and it already looks pretty good, i might as well continue on until it's done!.

Had a really fun time with this guy; first time using the slap chop method (base black, drybrush grey, light drybrush light grey white and then contrast paints on top); had to figure out the metals, since they cover pretty well, but i’m super happy with it overall. The evil sunz nob turned out a little too gritty for my liking so i really tried brightening my beast boss up. what we saying ladz? locked post. new comments cannot be posted. share add a comment be the first to comment nobody's responded to this post yet. add your thoughts and get the conversation going. Want to see slapchop in action? we’ve got a full video tutorial to walk you through the process, from a black prime to a finished mini. painting an entire army of minis can be daunting, but with the right approach and some planning, you can do it in no time. we call this technique “slapchop.”. I took this recipe from miniature marvels ( m. watch?v=x5q65qwibbq) as i really liked how his came out on the alternative ork models. i went with slap chop as i wanted a quick way to field as many orks as i could in a limited time frame.
