The nvfc launched the national junior firefighter program in 2007 to support fire departments by fostering relationships and engaging youth in learning about, and ultimately becoming, members of the emergency services. This is a 12 week program consisting of classroom and hands on field application training. our cadets must excel academically, demonstrate exceptional teamwork and leadership skills, and establish professional behavior.
