Regional Wildfire Mitigation Program Rwmp Wildfire Resilience Fire safe council director and uc santa barbara professor, max moritz, spearheaded a grant proposal to start a rwmp for the santa barbara county. Led by sig nal from 2021–2024 in partnership with the santa barbara county fire safe council and regional collaborators, this project supports landscape scale wildfire resilience through landscape scale analytics and planning, and nature based solutions, such as vegetated “greenbelt buffers”. Santa barbara case study: shares lessons learned from the rwmp pilot in santa barbara county, showcasing the framework's application in a real world setting and its initial successes. Moore foundation wri funds would allow the santa barbara county fire safe council (sbcfsc) to lead all 3 domains, expand the framework to the entire county, explore the adaptive management feedback loop of the rwmp framework, and continue to improve on the process to better inform future rwmps.
