Tohoku university will conduct its welcome week for new international students from september 26 to september 30, 2025. this initiative is aimed at helping incoming students become acquainted with sendai city and the campus environment. Event dates: august 18 (tues) to august 22 (fri) presented by the international student services (iss) office, the welcome week for new international students is the iss version of orientation. Join the department of campus activities & traditions during welcome week! these first two weeks of events offer quality experiences and engaging opportunities to build a sense of belonging and community for new and returning students!.

When does welcome week start and end? welcome week takes place the week before classes. for fall 2025, welcome week starts on august 18 and ends on august 24. each day offers orientation events and activities designed to help new students get settled and start their college journey on the right foot. Programs and activities that have been selected for orientation are designed to make students feel at home at wilson, prepare them for academic challenges and have fun getting to know their new classmates.
