The wastegate is what controls the boost, so if you’re running an external wastegate you will essentially have an additional exhaust tube that vents exhaust when the wastegate is opening closing and controlling boost.

I have found a loose line but wondering if i need to connect it to both the boost control solenoid and the wastegate or just one or just the other. see the pictures below. not by design as far as i can tell but i have no personal experience with what looks to be an ets turbo kit. I'm also going with a custom boost controller and a dual port wastegate to gain more control. with boost on one side and vaccuum on the other, hopefully i won't see any creep. (unless the flapper gets crudded up).
