Evolve Mainstreaming Virtual Exchange Through Training And Research
Programs Virtual Exchange Training Center The evolve project and the erasmus virtual exchange project have worked closely together to offer educators and other stakeholders interested in virtual exchange (ve) an attractive range of training opportunities. This video provides an introduction to how the evolve project is linking training in the teaching of virtual exchange to research on the impact of virtual ex.
Virtual Exchange Training Center What is virtual exchange? virtual exchange (ve) is a practice, supported by research, that consists of sustained, technology enabled, people to people education programmes or activities in which constructive communication and interaction takes place between individuals or groups who are geographically separated and or from different cultural. The university of groningen has been awarded a 464,000 euro grant from the european forward looking cooperation projects programme to mainstream virtual exchange as an innovative form of international learning in higher education institutions across europe and beyond. The research was undertaken in order to measure the impact of the implemented ves, in terms of competence development at learner and teacher level. the data was collected via student and teacher surveys, interviews and reflective portfolios. Evolve (evidence validated online learning through virtual exchange) aims to mainstream virtual exchange (ve) as an innovative form of collaborative international learning across disciplines in higher education (he) institutions in europe and beyond.

Evolve (evidence validated online learning through virtual exchange) aims to mainstream virtual exchange (ve) as an innovative form of collaborative international learning across disciplines in higher education (he) institutions in europe and beyond. The evolve project is set to achieve just that. the project will provide an innovative online training and coaching programme (‘co laboratory’) for university educators and other facilitators planning to design and integrate ve in their courses. Clearly, training programmes such as those offered through erasmus virtual exchange and evolve are responding to an active interest in learning more about the topic of implementing ve. Situated in the project’s wider context of mainstreaming ve as innovative practice in he in europe and beyond, the focus of the current study is on the impact of virtual exchange (ve) on student learning in higher education (he).
