Engaging Nonviolence New 2025 Peace Programming Ignite Peace Building a culture of nonviolence: why we need nonviolence in our world. this session explores some of the principles of gandhi and martin luther king jr. and will introduce a challenge to examine the idea of constructive programs and how we can build a nonviolent vision for the future. You will learn powerful methods for opposing violence and injustice and for building just and peaceful nonviolent alternatives. engaging nonviolence is designed to build your understanding and capacity to address the direct, structural or cultural violence that matters most to you.
Engaging Nonviolence Campaign From practical skills to useful tools, this 6 week course explores how nonviolence can help you in personal relationships, conflicts in community, and social change. nonviolence is a way of life, a set of principles, a collection of practices for navigating conflict, and a toolbox for making change. Published: october 2024 (in dutch), march 2025 (in english) the book describes four directions in which we can work on peace and includes many examples and practical tools. We will be offering public in person sessions beginning in january 2025, with more dates to be added later in the year. we will also offer private sessions for groups or communities who would like to go through the trainings together. Ignite peace is proud to offer pace e bene’s “engaging nonviolence” curriculum in many accessible formats. participants can learn about the spectrum of violence, conflict resolution, building a culture of nonviolence, strategic nonviolence in social movements, and more.
Strategic Nonviolence Intensive Ignite Peace We will be offering public in person sessions beginning in january 2025, with more dates to be added later in the year. we will also offer private sessions for groups or communities who would like to go through the trainings together. Ignite peace is proud to offer pace e bene’s “engaging nonviolence” curriculum in many accessible formats. participants can learn about the spectrum of violence, conflict resolution, building a culture of nonviolence, strategic nonviolence in social movements, and more. Utilizing the expertise and resources shared by pace e bene, we have created and are excited to offer our own engaging nonviolence program consisting of four unique sessions. In partnership with pace e bene and their campaign nonviolence project, ignite peace is excited to bring the engaging nonviolence curriculum to the greater cincinnati region. The first book, co authored by nina koevoets (peace power) and veronica pelicaric (pace e bene) contains a training program and instructions for facilitators. the second is a combination of non fiction and practical tools and examples. Designed for both newcomers and experienced practitioners, the program blends theory, reflection, and hands on practice to support nonviolence as a lived, daily reality—within ourselves, our relationships, and our communities.
