Emoncms Sync Does Not Start Emoncms Openenergymonitor Community I am having some issues with the sync process. the error reads “ emoncms sync service is not running, please start the service to enable feed syncing.” seems to have been doing this for a little bit but i have been away and not noticed until today. i checked the forum but only see some legacy posts that seem less relevant. Check available disk space in the data partition by looking at the table at the bottom of: emoncms > setup > admin. make a note of any full partitions, create a post on our community forums to ask for further assistance, make sure to include in your post the 'server information' section on the admin page (click on copy as markdown or copy to.

Emoncms Sync Does Not Start Emoncms Openenergymonitor Community Hi @fredm67 do you need sync? this keeps defined feeds of two instances of emoncms in ‘sync’ with each other. have you configured any feeds to be synced? if not, that may be why it doesn’t start. i’ve just created added my heatpump on heatpumpmonitor.org, and i wanted to import all my local data. I have one emonpi2 that is not syncing with emoncms cloud for some reason. all my other emonpi2s are configured the same, but this one is lagging behind. i am using the api key to authenticate and have the interval set to 5 minutes but keep seeing the message “no response from remote server”. Even though the sync service is running, it hasn’t uploaded for 21 hours prior. once i log in to the admin panel and restart the sync service, it catches up in approximately 1 minute. These improvements make using the emoncms sync module a more viable option for uploading data from e.g a local emonpi2 up to emoncms.org in a regular automated way.

These improvements make using the emoncms sync module a more viable option for uploading data from e.g a local emonpi2 up to emoncms.org in a regular automated way. Following on from the recently introduced billing for cloud emoncms, i’ve decided to move some of my non critical feeds (the ones i’m tinkering with) to my local instance of emoncms. it all seemed pretty simple using the sync module. Hi ben, the sync module is not as staightforward to install as the graph or dashboard modules. the sync module requires cloning to a location outside of the var www path and then a sub folder of that repo is symlinked into emoncms modules. The sync module can be used instead of the emonhub emoncms http interfacer that posts data to the remote server. input processing only needs to be configured once on the local emonpi base as it’s the resulting feed data that gets uploaded and replicated to the remote server. The first is to check the status of emoncms services on the emoncms > admin page: services: emonhub, emoncms mqtt, feedwriter, redis server and mosquitto should all be ‘ active running’.
