Elevate Dvd Review
Elevate Dvd Review A single father and two women venture from the safety of their homes to face monstrous creatures to save the life of a young boy. the synopsis of elevation doesn’t really give much away and probably with good reason as that is simply the crux of the story. Elevation has some cool parts mixed into a mostly boring movie. the majority is walking and talking with exposition mixed in. it's a fairly standard movie within the subgenre. i like the creature design and a few suspenseful scenes. the rest isn't bad, but it maxes out at serviceable.
Elevation Dvd Gallery It’s maybe one of the few scenes where the action and tension lead to something engaging. besides that, everything that plays out is nothing new or enough to become anything more than background noise. the problem with “elevation” is that none of it feels truly inspired. While "elevation" may never rise above its genre trappings or escape the shadow of its influences, it never stoops so low as to be mindlessly vapid. simply executed at ninety minutes, it's escapism of the highest order, offering perils at a screen's distance of safety. It has an exciting premise of an “unstoppable” monster that will attack anyone below 8,000 feet of elevation. it features a well paced and heroic save the ones you love storyline that ends with a twist, one that’s reminiscent of films such as a quiet place. With a loose gimmick and not much further depth, elevation is an inoffensive but underwhelming entry into the concept based horror action genre. like many wannabe franchises, elevation ends on a sequel tease—but this franchise is unlikely to be a lucrative one. First time documentary maker anne buford (who spent four years putting "elevate" together) follows four tall but impoverished would be stars who soon realize they have more than one hoop to get.
