Durán Creative Cities Network Through a variety of artistic forms, durán hosts many cultural events to establish links between modern creative fields and historical customs and folk art. Creative cities contribute to several sdgs, in particular those on poverty alleviation (goal 1), gender equality (goal 5), and economic growth (goal 8), along with creating sustainable cities and communities (goal 11).
Durán Creative Cities Network Diverse cities worldwide, specializing in fields such as literature, music, design, and more, participate in the uccn. the network aims to acknowledge and boost the role of cities in nurturing creative industries, cultural expression, and innovation. One of the main objectives of the plan is to provide clear and accessible information about the benefits of belonging to the creative cities network, seeking to raise awareness in the community about the importance of culture and art in the social and economic development of durán. The unesco creative cities network (uccn) promotes cooperation with and among cities that have identified creativity as a strategic factor for sustainable urban development. The 350 cities currently part of this network work together towards a common goal: placing creativity and cultural industries at the heart of their local development plans and actively cooperating at the international level.
