Duke Functional Genomics
Contact Us Duke Functional Genomics Through investments in genetic and chemical perturbation technologies, we have assembled state of the art tools, enabling high throughput functional studies using crispr, rnai and compound libraries. we also provide targeted crispr services for custom knockout and knockin cell lines. The functional genomics shared resource provides reagents, infrastructure, and expertise for high throughput screening of chemical, crispr, rnai, and open reading frame (orf) libraries.
Contact Us Duke Functional Genomics The dfgsr provides infrastructure and expertise for the implementation of crispr and rnai based technologies, both small and genome scale. we also provide compound screening services and high throughput assay development. On september 1, 2014, the laboratory relocated to the university of texas at dallas. dr. tae hoon kim directs activities in the laboratory. we train and nurture independent thinkers and scientists who aren’t afraid to challenge established paradigms and approaches. Syk: our main mission is to provide access to functional genomics tools and various high throughput screening technologies to the duke research community. we do everything from cell line engineering to compound screens to pooled crispr functional genetic screens. Through investments in genetic and chemical perturbation technologies, we have assembled state of the art reagents and equipment, providing researchers access to genome wide rnai reagents and the infrastructure necessary to conduct large scale functional studies in mammalian cells.

We want you to come work with us! gone but not forgotten…. Genomic research within the department of biology spans a wide range of subdisciplines including functional genomics, population and evolutionary genomics, and developmental genomics. The functional genomics shared resources is fully equipped with all necessary infrastructure for high throughput screening of genetic and chemical libraries. investigators screening with the facility will be given priority access to all equipment. We have several human and mouse genome and kinome lentiviral sgrna libraries available for pooled loss or gain of function screening. we also provide custom pooled library assembly and screening services.
