Degrowth Summerschool The degrowth summer school, initiated in 2014, has been a platform that brings together academics, practitioners, artists, activists, community organisers, and concerned citizens to collectively delve into discussions and learning experiences related to degrowth and environmental justice. The summer school is open to local and international phd students from all disciplines interested in political ecology, organisational studies, and or technology and society studies.

This year’s summer school is going to be special. we invite you to join us for two weeks of discussions, workshops and excursions around the topics of degrowth, decolonization and green extractivism. James souder is currently a student at icta uab for the master’s program in political ecology, degrowth, and environmental justice. he is excited to join this year’s summer school team to strengthen bonds and shared learning opportunities among participants and speakers. He became a professor at the autonomous university of barcelona in 2010 and, along with colleagues at the research & degrowth association, launched a summer school program in degrowth.
