Csa Week 9 2021 2021 csa week 9 recipes the produce in the share is getting more diverse as the weeks go on! this week’s recipes use minimal additional ingredients other than what’s in the share and common cooking staples. the roasted vegetable recipe is a delicious way to incorporate all the vegetables. Csa week 9 this week you may have lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, apples, basil? eggplant? peaches? thankfully tomato season has finally arrived! we missed all our dates for having crushed tomatoes or sauce made, that’s just how it goes.
Csa Week 10 2021 This week's elysian fields farm csa score included beets with their greens, sugar snap peas, spinach, cabbage and fennel bulbs including the fronds. csa 2021, week 9: beets, fennel, cabbage, sugar snap peas and spinach. this week we got beets for the second time. that was my choice. We will keep the fence maintained over the course of the next few weeks as sweet corn season comes to fruition! the crafty raccoons have also found our watermelon field. we haven’t seen them eat watermelons in the past, but there is clear evidence that they are having fun sampling them after dark. We will have a bunch in the csa shares and opportunity to buy more if needed. we love to make zucchini bread, freeze one loaf and eat the other. zucchini bread in february is a nice treat! and we have everything you need for homemade pickled cucumbers… garlic, dill, onions, hot peppers!. Looks like we might have done one too many rain dances at the farm this season, more rain expected for the next week or so! the plants are recovering from the recent flooding event and we are getting the fields tidied up. it’s hard to keep up with the weeds when it is raining this much!. Last week we got some watermelons, cantaloupes, and eggplants and the last of the hemp planted and this week we will hopefully clear out some more space to plant some more crops for fall soon which is fast approaching now.
