The project is working with organisations and local residents in two “pioneer” neighbourhoods in glasgow – easterhouse, and gorbals – to understand what climate change means locally, to imagine what climate ready futures might look like, and to speed up local action to make these a reality. Strong partnerships are the platforms which communities need to deliver the work they are planning. without creative climate futures, the partners on the steering group might never have come together but all have played pivotal roles in the success of the project. Today we were working with embedded artist, @elenamaryharris to design cool climate posters. now off to explore the new gorbals walking route which officially launches on saturday! tomorrow we'll be at the glasgow future fair see you there. creative climate futures is at glasgow botanic gardens. The project has climate justice at its centre – recognising that our response to climate change must also tackle inequality and its underlying causes. creative climate futures combines this approach with arts and creativity to help our two neighbourhoods drive action to create the futures they want.
