Constant Lag Spikes Every Second Please Help R Feedthebeast I have recently had an issue where modded minecraft on forge would lag spike every few seconds and its really annoying. it only started happening after 3 hours into a modded world and i have no idea why it started doing that. A lag spike every time the gc kicks in is the telltale sign of not enough ram, but go ahead and downvote the only correct answer.

Sounds like you don't have enough ram allocated. i recommend installing ferritecore in every modpack. it reduced my average ram usage from 5 6 gb down to 3.5 gb. As for lag spikes, 1.12.2 runs of java 8 which is quite old and unoptimized. i'd recommend adding some other mods for performance, like optifine, betterfps, foamfix, etc. try tweaking some video settings with optifine installed. I need some help on either optimizing or troubleshooting an insanely bad issue i have with roblox. this has nothing to do with game creation, only game playing. the issue here is that every 45 60 seconds, i get an insane lag spike which makes the game unplayable for about 5 seconds. this happens exclusively on roblox. i have reset my entire computer, removing all files to make sure it isn’t.
