William Davis Primary School School Council Blog Year two have been learning about 'algorithms' in their computing lessons.we watched a short video that explained what they are before starting to make our own based on the short task of 'getting ready for a cold outdoor play'.we began by working in pairs to play a 'human robot' game this was lots of fun!. Year 2 explored the online coding activity 'j2turtle' during todays computing session. they found out what a 'sprite' was and had to explore the program to find out what each of the buttons did. Year two began their new computing topic this week. they will be learning about the use of technology in the modern world and how it helps us in our everyday lives.here they are sorting household items into two groups; those that have computers in them and those that don't. Year 2 have begun their new topic 'computer games' during their computing lessons this half term. I worked with the inventors for 5 years in schools, holiday camps, and workshops. one shy year 1 girl, inês, initially struggled, building projects on my lap. but over four years, she grew into a confident leader and stayed with us through primary, despite her mother’s suggestions.
