Student conduct and community standards (sccs) enforces the code of student conduct. the code explains what conduct is prohibited, the process the sccs uses to review reports of alleged misconduct by students, and the sanctions that can be assigned. Student conduct and community standards is a place where students, faculty and staff can discuss violations of university rules, learn about university expectations, and report possible violations. The standards of conduct outlined in the code of student conduct have been developed to ensure the well being, honor and dignity of all who live, learn and work in our educational community. The office of community standards and conduct strives for a proactive approach in addressing academic integrity by providing information and resources in support of high academic standards in scholarship and academic achievement. When a student fails to abide by university policies and procedures, as set forth above, or comply with the law, the university may gather information and or resolve concerns through the community standards process as described in this policy. Community standards is responsible for the administration of the student conduct & discipline process as outlined in the handbook of operating procedures. we address both academic integrity violations as well as behavioral conduct violations.
