With support from 14 prominent philanthropies, cvic provides training, technical assistance, and peer learning to help community based organizations scale their efforts and increase their impact.

Community interventions in collaboration with the criminal justice system are well positioned to address health disparities experienced by justice involved populations and the vulnerabilities to justice involvement experienced by those with mental illness in the community. Community capacity development with cvic will engage 64 grassroots cvi organizations, across 16 jurisdictions to execute a comprehensive national training and technical assistance and support programs. Slingshot led the communications strategy for the white house's community violence intervention collaborative (cvic), which worked with mayors in 16 of the largest cities across the country to build real public safety infrastructure and move cvi to the forefront of the public safety agenda.
