The department of developmental disabilities received approval for a community capital assistance program that funds home renovations or purchases for people with disabilities, with limits on projects and a county based application process. The requested funds will provide capital funds to eligible community assistance projects as outlined in oac 5123:1 1 01, oac 5123:1 1 03, and oac 5123:1 1 17. the use of these funds is secured by a 15 year participation contract between the funding recipients and the department. To assist county boards in building or purchasing homes for these purposes, dodd recently finalized oac 5123 1 02 “community capital assistance funds—acquisition of housing by county boards of developmental disabilities for youth with intensive behavioral support needs.”.
