In this report, we leverage this data to map the status of the renewable energy, hydrogen, and storage projects as of end 2025, outlining the potential scenarios and pathways that will define the mena energy transition through 2030. We present the work with the aim of drawing lessons from a national energy system that has achieved resilience and reliability under globally extreme environmental conditions that can inform the development of resilient renewable energy systems around the world. Maintaining reliable energy supplies with resilience to extreme weather, water shortage and rising electricity and cooling demand is crucial to successfully implementing the clean energy transition.
