Thank You To Accelerating Circularity Ifc Textile Circularity Exchange Traditional business models in the fashion and textile industry are extractive. they’re focused on producing greater volumes over time, which uses more resources and creates more waste. in contrast, circular business models focus on retaining the value of existing materials through perpetual cycles. This year’s conference theme, the case for change, emphasized the critical need to accelerate the transition to circularity. ambercycle led two key sessions, driving discussions on innovative solutions and actionable pathways.
Textiles Circular City Funding Guide This year’s textile exchange conference brought the global textile community to lisbon, and c2c certified was proud to be part of the event and many conversations on circularity and safe materials. Over the past two years, accelerating circularity’s cstim working group has conducted research, testing, and documentation to address how trims and non fiber components – long considered a barrier to scalable circularity can be efficiently separated to unlock higher recycling potential. Recognising the urgency to transition toward a sustainable and circular textile value chain, the project aims to identify possible key policy, financing, investment and regulatory priorities and the role of trade to enable a transformative change.
