Caving Training Course Provisions This booklet discusses caves and the many elements of the sport of caving. exploring caves is becoming increasingly popular in all areas of the world, and caving responsibly is more important now than ever. The dfw grotto is a group of cavers in the dallas fort worth area who explore, study, and promote conservation of caves in texas and beyond. the dfw grotto meets monthly on the 2nd wednesday of each month january november, starting at 7pm. location may vary month to month, so please check our facebook page for each month's meeting location.

All skill levels are welcome to attend our meetings, and we provide training for safe caving as well as opportunities to travel outside the dfw metroplex for cave trips. Caving mostly requires stamina, agility, and flexibility. the most effective way to train these is by using your own body as fitness equipment. some exercises to quickly increase core strength and flexibility are the good old push ups and sit ups. some rock climbing will also really help you improve. do you need training?.
