The church body purchased 24 acres in the 6800 block of boulder drive and for two years met for services on the campus of dallas baptist university. in august 1972, the church entered its new church plant on boulder drive. the second building of the master plan was completed in february 1978.

Hillcrest church is a nondenominational church in dallas, tx featuring contemporary and traditional hymns worship and with children's ministry and community service. We love gateway church! the dallas campus feels like home with so many wonderful people and such a loving atmosphere. my kids love the children's church and our family has grown so much during our time at gateway.
