Here's how i went about creating the scales effect. this technique really only requires two colors, but we will mix the two colors for an in between shade. the colors selected in this case are a shade darker and a shade lighter than the base color already on the tank. This resource has been created to serve as a database and general reference for all military camouflage patterns and combat uniforms in use during the 20th and 21st centuries by military, paramilitary, and in some cases non military forces. According to an elco document, this scheme was applied to thirteen squadrons and was a predecessor to 31 20l. 31 5p was sprayed on and had “soft” edges, unlike 31 20l which had “hard” edges.
