Caught On Hidden Camera Fascinating Costa Rica Wildlife Villas Costa In a protected area of northern guanacaste, biologist vincent losasso of guanacaste wildlife monitoring uses motion‑sensor camera traps to document elusive wildlife, including jaguars, tapirs and peccaries. One of my projects, situated in a protected area in northern guanacaste, focuses on capturing these creatures on camera. this location has provided me with repeat recordings of several individuals. The largest ever camera trap study in central america, on costa rica’s osa peninsula, has revealed how human disturbance affects where animals live and how they’re grouped. Here at cloudbridge, we’ve had an ongoing camera trap project since 2015, which ultimately is what helped to create our mammal species list. by having 10 cameras placed throughout the reserve in various locations, we’ve been able to capture a myriad of species doing a variety of different activities.
