Link to github notebook. the dataset used features 75 different classes of butterflies, with over 1000 labeled images. these images come in various sizes and each belongs to a single butterfly category.
Butterfly Data Github This dataset contains images and textual descriptions for ten categories (species) of butterflies. the image dataset comprises 832 images in total, with the distribution ranging from 55 to 100 images per category. Validation data set for 100 butterfly or moth species. all images are 224 x 224 x 3 in jpg format . train set consists of 12594 images partitioned into 100 sub directories one for each species. test set consists of 500 images partitioned into 100 sub directories with 5 test images per species. This a subset of "ceyda smithsonian butterflies" dataset with additional processing done to train the "ceyda butterfly gan" model. the preprocessing includes: we’re on a journey to advance and democratize artificial intelligence through open source and open science. The integrated and open butterfly database provide a massive dataset of curated coi sequences for west palearctic butterflies and an updated checklist. functions to manage the dataset are also provided.

Here, we present the largest, global dataset of lepidopteran traits, focusing initially on butterflies (ca. 12,500 species records). these traits are derived from field guides, taxonomic. This dataset represents the largest and most comprehensive compilation of butterfly trait data to date and among the most comprehensive resources for any species rich fauna. On this website, different images of butterflies and their photo location is stored in a database. the overall objective includes documenting the butterfly population over time, which is particularly important given the current decline in insect populations. By making this data available to the scientific community, i aim to advance the sharing of biological data to stimulate more comprehensive research in ecology, biogeography, and conservation of butterflies.
