We will begin our class by creating an artisan sourdough country loaf that you will mix, knead and shape by hand. this artisan bread class will specifically focus on proper hand kneading skills, while focusing on baking techniques and maintaining your own sourdough starter at home.

Red Rose Primary School Planbee reduces workload by providing expertly written primary teaching resources, teacher lesson plans and engaging activities for individual teachers and primary schools. We will begin our class by creating an artisan sourdough country loaf that you will mix, knead and shape by hand. this artisan bread class will specifically focus on proper hand kneading skills, while focusing on baking techniques and maintaining your own sourdough starter at home. The school educates mixed pupils aged 4 to 11. it currently has 298 pupils on roll with space for 315, offering a broad curriculum across all primary year groups. the most recent ofsted inspection, published on 22 november 2023, rated the school outstanding. Truly an essential step, not just for the beginner but for everyone who has a desire to make fantastic bread at home. students will take home baked focaccia and brioche from the dough i have prepared. Children should work in threes to make the dough (ensuring each child has a turn) and then divide the dough between themselves to do the kneading and shaping (if optional ingredients are being used, they can be added at this point).
