Bouncing Balls Animation Assignment

Bouncing Ball Animation Exploration

Bouncing Ball Animation Exploration Generally speaking, we want to practice animating multiple bouncing balls (ideally at least 3 separate balls), each with their own feeling of weight and momentum. Since this is our students first drawing assignment, i have them animate on paper, for the experience of using light boxes peg boards, and the animation punch. the assignment can, of course, be modified for any digital workflow!.

The goal of this assignment is to make an animation of a bouncing ball. here are some simple steps to follow. first, if you haven't already, run through tony's intro to layout tutorial to learn about lightwave's layout program. then, make a simple bouncing ball by following tony's bouncing ball tutorial. The assignment consists of two stages for a web based project. in stage 1, a circle is created at the user's click position and moves at a random speed and angle, allowing for multiple circles to be fired simultaneously.
