Victoria Marathon (victoria, bc – october 13, 2024) — the streets were alive sunday morning as the royal victoria marathon took place around greater victoria. with a sold out marathon, half marathon and a near sold out 8k, it was perfect weather and atmosphere for the event. Last fall, i ran the royal victoria marathon in victoria, canada for a time of 2:30:16 to come in second. i wrote a race report that's also an essay about goals and training called marathoning and the process.

We are so thrilled to offer a beautiful oceanfront route featuring victoria’s spectacular coastline and scenery. our 42.2k distance is a boston marathon qualifier, part of the bc marathon championships, and a abbott world marathon majors wanda age group world ranking event. Medals for 1st to 3rd place, and ribbons for 4th and 5th will be offered in the following age categories for female and male racers for the marathon, half marathon and 8k. The marathon, half marathon and 8k are on sunday, october 11, starting and finishing in the heart of the inner harbour in downtown victoria. plus, we are a boston qualifier as well as a world athletics sanctioned event. Following our marathon route for the first 13km, the half marathon then turns towards the ocean, winding its way through the quiet streets of fairfield and on to dallas road.
