Bleeding Review Scare Value Bleeding is a thoroughly dramatic picture about a true horror relevant to our times. its clever use of horror concepts to tell that story is a more interesting topic for today. especially for those, like me, who don’t rush to watch dramas. Of course being a vampire film, there is blood too, but i wouldn’t say bleeding is absolutely drenched in it. it’s a smarter scare that doesn’t dwell on gore. what stuck out most to me wasn’t the blood drinking or depictions of overdosing; it was the sounds.

For a debut feature, bleeding shows a clear confidence in its ideas and a willingness to prioritize thematic depth over easy scares. andrew bell constructs a story that is more interested in its characters’ moral decay than in conventional horror, and for much of the runtime, this approach works. Truly having something to say and hitting the nail on the head with its metaphors and narrative, bleeding, for some, may be as relatable and thought provoking as it is scary. Bleeding manages to be both a very solid horror movie and an impressive allegory for addiction. no matter your reason for tuning into this film, it is worth your time.
