Black Manta Super Black I have been putting this car off for such a long time but after going drifting a few weeks ago in drift matsuri i decided to review and revive my long ignored sema project the black manta. While cpr’s orientation is a bit more tuner cult than muscle, the black manta is a car that just about anyone can appreciate. this corvette was three years in the making, and turned out to be one of cpr’s wildest projects yet. the car is in fact a c6, but with a “c7 facelift”, as ian calls it.

Starting with a potent base, they have taken a 2013 corvette zr1 and dispensed with its fiberglass. after many late nights and several revisions to their molds, the black manta is ready for the world stage. a new body of dry carbon fiber is 12” wider in the front, with a gain of 14” on the rear. The original the original black manta was based on a c6 corvette with a c7 facelift and custom body kit. the lt engine, which features direct injection, enables higher compression which translates into raw horsepower.
