The biosys phd programme aims to train a new generation of post genomic bio researchers to understand biological questions at a systems level, by providing internationality, dedicated mentoring and early independence in research environment. Biosys programme offers a post graduate training during the first semester (academic courses) involving manely international experts in different fields that bring their own experience to the discussion. Biosys was awarded with 11 phd scholarships for each edition of the programme. biosys has already enrolled 44 highly promising young scientists and will enroll another 11 phd students in the next year. The biosys phd program begins with one semester intensive training course organized in five modules (each with 3 week duration) covering key topics in systems biology and functional genomics. High mobility of the enrolled phd students is foreseen through mixed fellowships (about half of the proposed fellowships) which will take place in germany, uk, sweden, france, switzerland and others.
