Inspired by the sentiments encapsulated in ancient chinese paintings and calligraphy, hong kong artist tsang kin wah created a large scale projection installation, freezing water: between here and there. "between here and there" is a project begun in 2008. the series connects cities, in particular los angeles and berlin, as interwoven global spaces of transformation, dissent and the fantastic. the work explores socio political concepts reflected within the imaginary and the real. 'between here and there part 2' is part of an iterated introspection on the interplay between the external environment and internal experience. it bridges the gap between the tangible and the intangible, offering a glimpse into the quiet reflections that inspire this art.
