This month some people i work with started up a book club, and this was our first pick! i wasn’t familiar with author patrick gale before, but really enjoyed his writing, and this tale of art and family. It’s football season. but also, here are all the books i read in august! i’m still on track to hit 400, just need to stay focused.
August Reading Wrap Up The 3 Books I Read In August Fly Into Books This month some people i work with started up a book club, and this was our first pick! i wasn’t familiar with author patrick gale before, but really enjoyed his writing, and this tale of art and family. It’s football season. but also, here are all the books i read in august! i’m still on track to hit 400, just need to stay focused. I've read it before, a few years ago, but i didn't remember much other than the stark art style and some of what it followed. i thought that this had more of the history of the islamic revolution and iranian war, but obviously since this is a memoir it's more about marjane's personal experiences. August is the first month i’ve been jobless after being made redundant, so, unsurprisingly, it’s been a month of trying to get my new normal sorted whilst looking for jobs. so it has been a little stressful, but i don’t think i’ve done too badly when it comes to my reading despite that. As far as reading goes, i managed to sneak in two books this month, which was a real feat given how ridiculously busy we were. here’s what i covered: books read in august 2025.
