We are hiring three artists in residence this summer. they will work in and around our building, as well as at some partner locations, creating art rooted in faith and community. street artists, designers, and visual makers of all sorts are encouraged to apply. They’ll be posting some regular updates on our instagram page and even doing some “artist takeover days” on here. so follow along, and pray cheer for them as they make work at the intersection of faith, art, and community. The transform 2 month artist residency focuses on bay area artists who desire to work in community and along themes of spirituality and renewal. we are welcoming to artists of all religious and faith journeys.

Paintings that lend form, shape and color to the mysteries of faith and offer tangible signs of humanity redeemed. manuscript illuminations for use in the sacred liturgy. illustrations aimed at encouraging the art of correspondence in letter pressed cards. Resident artists bradley knight has been arranging and orchestrating music for 20 years, creating thousands of musical pieces for church choirs and artists ranging from the brooklyn tabernacle choir, to the gaither homecoming series, to leann rimes. I hope you will enjoy this diverse list of both established catholic musicians and newcomers. these men and women have the unique gift of being able to lead us in prayer through music. I asked scott to share what it’s like to be a resident artist and he shared some of the challenges and wonders of the journey: word on the street is that you’re an artist in residence at a church.
