Artificial Life Artificial life is a peer reviewed journal that publishes research on artificial systems that exhibit living behaviors. the journal celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2024 with a special issue on the history and future of artificial life. Artificial life studies the fundamental processes of living systems in artificial environments in order to gain a deeper understanding of the complex information processing that defines such systems.
