Some choices are better than others, and getting angry is just one of them — it doesn’t have to be your go to reaction. practice choosing peace, and make that your go to reaction instead. The primary emotion is often one of fear, hurt, shame, humiliation or helplessness. so when you experience anger, it can be helpful to try and identify this primary emotion, in order to rationally and helpfully move towards a solution in which you deal with your anger in a healthy way. Dealing with your anger appropriately will not only feel better but will help you manage conflicts better and strengthen your relationships. learning to control anger is a challenge for everyone at times.

Anger management involves using a variety of skills to help with expressing anger in appropriate ways. this can include relaxation techniques, cognitive restructuring, communication skills, and removal from the triggering situation. We’re often told anger is a great prompt toward progress. we can get angry and sway arguments for justice, or equality. when we’re mad enough we take a stand. but if this is so, why don’t we.
