In this virtual tour, students can move around the ship at their own speed, exploring various workspaces, learning about exploration activities by clicking icons with videos, blogs, and infographics. During this 21 day expedition, e v nautilus will deploy, recover, and provide maintenance to various seafloor instruments using rov surveys, as well as conduct seafloor mapping exploration. Streamed live on july 9, 2025. in july, an international team, led by famed explorer dr. robert ballard, will launch an expedition to conduct archaeological surveys of historically significant shipwrecks in the iron bottom sound. Unknown areas of the pacific ocean may be uncovered as part of a new expedition to map unsurveyed sea floors. it's being conducted by the ocean exploration trust via its vessel, the nautilus, which will explore areas around hawai'i, american samoa, guam, palau, and canada.
