I recently made the switch to linux mint and i’ve been facing a really annoying stuttering issue while playing amnesia: the dark descent. it runs smoothly at 60fps for about 5 seconds, then it drops to around 15 20fps for another 5 seconds, and then it repeats this cycle. Pix is a pretty decent debugger even if the ui is horrible. i was planning on making it an option to switch between vulkan and directx. anyways it’s provided by the hal abstraction i’m using so it wasn’t a really hard decision. i would have stayed with vulkan if i wrote this all from scratch.
