Allstar Node Gedanken I built the prototype for this project in an open board format so i could clearly post a picture of the completed allstar node. everything you see in the photograph below is laid out on a sheet of plexiglass. Beginning april 3, 2026, allstarlink is implementing a policy of reclaiming five digit node numbers that have not been used in at least 24 months. this includes five digit node numbers that have been extended to “nnx” six digit numbers where all nnx numbers are also dormant.

Allstar Node Gedanken Under node settings allstar node settings add node with the following parameters: node number 1999, “none of the above”, “radio interface usrp”, and “duplex type 0 half”. test by connecting disconnecting to node 1999 in allmon3. you must connect your asl node to 1999 before using dvswitch. These were some of the steps i took to setup my allstar link node server and some of the modifications that i did to it. After a bit of r&d i have managed to build a high quality full duplex allstarlink node using readily available fcc certified components, no mods hacks or soldering required, that can be built by anyone with basic computer skills. Allstarlink node auto connect script this project provides a robust bash script and systemd service to automatically connect your allstarlink (asl3) node to a specific target upon system boot or disconnection from internet. it has been tested and verified on a raspberry pi.

A variety of hardware is supported, from an inexpensive raspberry pi, a pc, or even a virtual machine. you need to configure at least one server in the allstarlink portal, and associate at least one node to it. a server can host many nodes, up to its hardware resource limits. This section contains useful videos related to help you with the construction of allstar nodes. Double check your nodes configuration in the allstar database (from the allstar portal). check that your node is running and it shows “registered” in the allstar portal page. I am new to allstarlink and recently got interested in setting up a personal node primarily for local linking and testing. i have gone through some documentation but would really appreciate some guidance from experienced users here.
