It's almost as if the calendar gave us this wonderful gift last sunday of two marvelous liturgical holidays in one day. and so i'm thinking, okay, this sunday will be a bit kind of just a one one you know one holiday the first sunday after christmas, which we get liturgically, but it's also new year's eve. For us who believe, it is the greatest gift of all! this beginning of john’s gospel, is a witness to an actual event, namely the appearance of god in and through the person of jesus.
