Airhead Review Godisageek Airhead, from developer octato and massive miniteam, is immediately reminiscent of limbo, and managed to utterly captivate me even when i had no idea what was going on. Airhead has some great puzzles, it oozes atmosphere and the metroidvania structure works surprisingly well. still, i can't say i had fun all the way through my 5 hour playthrough.

Airhead has redeeming qualities, including stunning art direction, an amazing soundscape, and a steady drip feed of upgrades that serve to keep the gameplay loop fresh. At first glance, airhead seems to be a colorful and joyful metroidvania style puzzle adventure. but as i dived deeper, i experienced the subtle themes of friendship, kindness, and lending a helping hand in a bleak world, which reflects our own reality. Airhead is ranked in the 51st percentile of games scored on opencritic. airhead wastes no time trying to force itself around a story, and as such it remains a simple but challenging joy throughout.
