This paper describes ai perspectives in scc and gives an overview of ai based technologies used in traffic to enable road vehicle automation and smart traffic control.

Figure 1 From Ai Based Adaptive Signaling For Traffic Control Around We propose an artificial intelligence based roundabout traffic control system (artcs) to assist drivers near roundabouts. the proposed system is based on artificial intelligence to detect the car from the left side of the roundabout and notify the driver. The document proposes an ai based traffic control system using cameras and neural networks to detect vehicles approaching roundabouts from the left side and notify drivers with lights if it is safe to enter. An effort was made to collect traffic and traffic crash data for existing roundabouts in the united states and to perform a statistical analysis to determine the effectiveness of roundabouts as a treatment for intersecting roadways. To have a sustainable transportation system with dynamic traffic volume, an adaptive traffic signal control system (atsc) should be contemplated to reduce urban traffic congestion and, thus, help reduce the carbon footprints emissions of greenhouse gases.
