Our trainings foster meaningful dialogue, develop critical skills, and inspire both individual and institutional transformation—because advancing equity starts with learning that leads to action. This research underscores the transformative potential of community based health education as a scalable and inclusive model for bridging health equity gaps in underserved populations. The goal of this program is to increase access to healthcare among underserved and rural populations through sustainable nurse led mobile health teams while providing longitudinal clinical training to 12 nurse practitioner (np) and 28 bsn students in the mobile health environment.

Our interactive format for workshops, webinars, panel series and summits is specifically designed to meet the needs of staff and board members of a variety of us and international organizations across multiple sectors and professions, as well as community leaders and grassroot organizations. Specific organizational strategies should include focusing on building the resilience of researchers, staff, and faculty members through capacity building and training while sharpening advocacy skills and establishing and maintaining processes that support health equity (ohene ntow et al., 2024). We present real life case studies from scholars in an lhs research training program that illustrate facilitators, challenges, and potential solutions at the program, funder, and research community level to receiving training and mentorship in health equity focused lhs science.
