Camp Tamarack Camp tamarack operates under a special use permit with deschutes national forest, and is an equal opportunity outdoor recreation service provider. We offer a wide variety of top notch programs, using great facilities and equipment; it is, however, our activity staff teaching, coaching, motivating and encouraging our campers that truly makes the difference.

Camp Tamarack Camp tamarack follows a daily rhythm that blends program time, open activities, and time to enjoy camp with your troop. each day includes a mix of scheduled programs and camp wide activities, giving scouts structure while still leaving room for choice and flexibility. Our experienced facilitators will guide your group through a series of challenge by choice activities to grow confidence and build community in a positive and social environment. The fun and excitement of the days at camp tamarack continues on into the evening with creative and enjoyable cabin, unit and camp wide programs. games, challenges, socials and camp performances are just some of the amazing programs we have on the agenda. Fifth and sixth grade students visit camp tamarack each spring and fall for an unforgettable outdoor school experience with their classmates! check out all of the fun activities they get to participate in below!. Check out all the activities we have to offer at camp tamarack. a space where campers can find their inner artist and create freely. offering both structured and unstructured creative arts activities allows individuals to choose the activity that is best for them. 9:45 – activity 1 planned cabin rotation activity or choose your own activity time. these activities are structured and have learning components but first and foremost are fun. Our overnight camps offer a traditional summer camp experience filled with days on the lake and nights around the campfire! fifth and sixth grade students investigate the ecosystem around them and connect with their peers in our field science based school program.
