Ace Aquafish Welcome to aquafish, the africa center of excellence in aquaculture and fisheries science. since our establishment in 2016, we have been funded by the world bank group with a mission to produce skilled human resources in aquaculture and fisheries for the eastern and south africa (esa) region. The aquafish seeks to train a pool of skilled and innovative graduate students, to contribute towards improved fish based food and incomes from aquaculture and fisheries in africa.
Ace Aquafish The africa center of excellence in aquaculture and fisheries (aquafish center) is housed by the department of aquaculture and fisheries science at lilongwe university of agriculture and natural resources (luanar), established in 2016 in lilongwe, malawi. Besides `the creation of conducive physical learning environments through constructing classrooms and equipping of laboratories it is important for the aces to articulate how else they are strengthening their teaching delivery methods so that they produce quality graduates. Professor emmanuel kaunda is currently the director of the world bank africa centre of excellence (ace) in aquaculture fisheries (aquafish) at luanar. his research is on both aquaculture and fisheries. At aquafish, our dedicated collaborative efforts aim to drive positive change in the aquaculture and fisheries sectors, working towards a sustainable future for the esa region and beyond.
