Accreditation Walker Learning To begin your accreditation journey, register for a study tour and necessary pd hours, alternatively join us on our 2 day walker learning intensive and complete 10 hours of pd in one go. to complete the accreditation requirements, all you would need to do is attend a study tour and book mentoring. Teachers who have earned accreditation in the walker learning pedagogy for the middle and upper primary years have demonstrated a deep understanding of the pedagogy and shown the ability to implement it in their context.
Accreditation Walker Learning Walker learning is an evidence based pedagogy that draws from the fields of developmental psychology and neuroscience whilst acknowledging and respecting that culture, community and family have a significant impact on a child’s life and learning. Complete 10 hours (excluding breaks) of pd to put towards your walker learning accreditation. to complete your accreditation, all you would need to do is attend a study tour, or to have previously been on a study tour and then contact us to arrange mentoring. Walker learning is an evidence based pedagogy that draws from the fields of developmental psychology and neuroscience whilst acknowledging and respecting that culture, community and family have a significant impact on a child’s life and learning. To be accredited, a teacher's classroom must include at least 10 of the key learning areas outlined in the walker learning pedagogy. a walker learning accredited teacher uses investigation time to interact with the students, informally scaffolding their learning and working alongside the students.

Once level 1 is completed, you can start your journey to accreditation (level 2) through mentoring and pedagogical discussion to support the implementation of the walker learning pedagogy. To receive accreditation, leadership must first complete the module pathways of professional development conducted by walker learning. there are separate pathways relevant to early primary and middle upper primary. Early life foundations and walker learning would like to acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional custodians of the land on which we live, work, and learn.
