Right To Care Treating Health Seriously The main objective of this study is to suggest the foundations for a universal right to health care, meaning the right of access to health care of appropriate quality. This document introduces the theoretical arguments that have led to recognizing care as a human right and the social and political mobilization underpinning its imple mentation. Entitlements include the right to a system of health protection (i.e. health care and the underlying social determinants of health) that provides equality of opportunity for people to enjoy the highest attainable standard of health. Health is a fundamental human right that is indispensable for the exercise of other human rights and essential to achieving the sustainable development goals (sdgs).
