Building the toolbox you will need to light a live show with an extensive set list: groups, effects, palettes, cue lists, etc. that you can use on the fly. My ambitions after that are to go on the road and do live concert and or club lighting. a few weeks ago, our house bought a ma3 comand wing with a fitting computer and roadcase for training purposes and i've spent some mayor time with it over the last weeks. This course is meant to go alongside the in person course entitled introduction to lighting design at northwestern college, iowa. however we believe that these worksheets could be used by anyone with little to no experience to onramp into the etc eos experience. From my experience, to me, eos seems better suited for the standard theatrical playback environments, whereas cobalt is meant more for busking shows. both platforms can do both (and yes, cobalt has a go button too), but i chose a console from the cobalt family to fit my needs as a busking board.
