7th Grade Cell Project The Brook Hill School Follow the instructions on your screen which will ask you to begin by choosing plant cell or animal cell. after you have chosen, a cell will come up on your screen and you can click on the different parts of the cell to learn what they do. this tour will open in a separate window. In this project, students will work in groups of 3 to 5 to create an interactive model of a cell and a short story or script that illustrates the functions of different cell organelles. the model should be able to show how these organelles work together in a cell's daily life. In order to really understand the complex nature of a cell and to understand the nature and quantity of cell organelles, you are going to make a 3d model of a cell and the organelles within the cell. This project about plant and animal cells will prepare your 7th grade science and biology students to create a model of a cell in detail including organelles, nucleus, and cell membrane.

This project about plant and animal cells will prepare your 7th grade science and biology students to create a model of a cell in detail including organelles, nucleus, and cell membrane. A written chart of the 12 major organelles and their functions accompanied the project and an oral quiz was given to each student group about their model. below are pictures of some of the students with their models. What are cell structures? the contents of the cell, or the structures of the cell, allow the cell to be "specialized." together with the cell's proteins, they allow the cell to do specific things. In order to help students understand all the different parts of a cell and how each part enables the cell the function, students make their own cell model. this project gives students a hands on experience and illustrates the complexity and beauty of animal cells!. In fact, cells are so small that 10,000 can fit on the head of a pin. in this unit you will explore inside the cell by completing fun and rigorous activities in your science, reading, language arts, and math classes.
